DETROIT (AP) — The most powerful street-legal Ford Mustang ever built will go on sale this fall.

A 5.2-liter supercharged V8 will crank out 760 horsepower in the 2020 Shelby GT500.
The new version has a beefed-up suspension and brakes. It also has a seven-speed automatic transmission that Ford promises will shift smoothly on commutes and quickly on the track. The engine is hand-built at a Michigan factory and comes with unique pistons and other parts. It can crank out 625 foot-pounds of torque, a measure of rotational force.

When does this car come out on the market to purchase and how much?

Well this 45yr old Alabama Girl would love to have one! I've always wanted a Mustang and when I was 16 my dad bought a 67 Mustang 3 speed but after taking off in 1st gear and the front wheels came off the ground at takeoff he told me it had TOO MUCH POWER for me LOL, so he got rid of it. well I still have dreams of my Mustang but dad past 3yrs ago of ALS and doesn't look like I will get it! A girl's daddy would've been the only one to give it to her, not boyfriend or husband they would keep for themselves!
