1934 Ford Tow Truck. This machine is something you don't see every day and probably to see one you would have to go to a museum. The Chassis is a 1913 Locomobile that was manufactured in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The rigging system is a Holmes 485 unit and looks exactly like it did the day it was made. Each boom is rated at 2 tons for a combined weight of 4 tons making it capable of towing back in the 1900's. The truck is being powered by a Chevy 283 that has been rebuilt with less than 1,000 miles on it. It is mated to a Chevy 4 speed automatic transmission making this truck capable of cruising down the road. The truck came with an original flathead Ford V8 and a 4 speed manual transmission that can be negotiated to go with this truck. It has been painted a bright fire engine Red with black interior with a vinyl bench seat with black dash. This truck has been in the same family since the 1950's and has been restored very well. This piece would look amazing in the lobby of a body shop or a Tow truck service! If you wanna to buy it click here.gatewayclassiccars.
