This 1979 Ford F250 Ranger 4×4 is finished in Walnut Glow over a Sand interior and equipped with a 400ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission and 2-speed transfer case. The truck was purchased new in San Luis Obispo, California and reportedly spent 31 years in storage prior to July of this year. Subsequent service included installation of a new carburetor, brake work, a tune-up, and more. This Dentside pickup was recently acquired by the selling dealer and is offered with an August 2018 California emissions certificate, build sheet, factory and dealer literature, receipts for the recent work, and a clean California title.
The 400ci V8 was originally rated at 169 horsepower. The stock 4-barrel carburetor has been replaced by an Edelbrock 2-barrel, reportedly to assist in obtaining the California emissions certificate in August 2018. The spark plugs, PCV valve, and EGR valve were replaced and an inspection made of the belts, hoses, and fluids. Two
