The Photos Reveal the Young Man Helping Her

A young man was photographed around Vivienne’s booth as she prepared for the street fair.

He appeared to help with the setup and was also seen documenting moments from the day, including photographs of his sister’s work. He remained nearby while Vivienne interacted with customers and handled her small art business.

His presence initially added an element of mystery to the photographs.

Who was the young man standing beside Vivienne?

The answer, however, turned out to be much closer to home.

He was her twin brother, Knox Jolie.

Knox helped Vivienne prepare the booth and took photographs of his sister’s artwork during the event.

Like Vivienne, he kept his appearance casual. He was photographed wearing colorful hair and floral embroidered jeans, giving the outing an unmistakably relaxed and youthful feel.

Knox has also supported his sister in other ways.

Earlier this year, TMZ reported that Angelina Jolie and Vivienne had cheered Knox on at Muay Thai competitions as he developed a growing interest in the sport.

The siblings’ appearance together at the street fair also came at a time when the Jolie-Pitt children have increasingly been making their own decisions about how they publicly use their surnames.

Vivienne’s Name Change Adds Another Layer to the Story

In June, Page Six reported that Knox had used “Knox Jolie” rather than “Knox Jolie-Pitt” on his high school diploma.

Later reports indicated that Vivienne had also begun the process of changing her own legal name.

About a month before the Los Angeles art-fair appearance, Vivienne moved forward with a petition asking to change her legal name from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.

According to the Daily Mail’s report on the filing, the reason listed in court documents was “personal.”

A hearing on the petition is scheduled for November 2.

The development followed shortly after her older brother Maddox officially completed his own name change.

TMZ reported that a judge approved Maddox’s petition after no objections were made, meaning he is now known as Maddox Jolie.

Other siblings have made similar choices in recent years.

Shiloh has also dropped Pitt from her surname, while reports have said that Zahara and Vivienne’s respective name changes have been in progress.

These surname changes have unfolded against the backdrop of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s long-running family and legal history.

But Vivienne’s appearance at the street fair offered something considerably quieter — a glimpse into a young woman developing a life and creative identity of her own.

Vivienne’s Creative Side Started Before the Art Fair

The September street fair was not Vivienne’s first experience working in a creative environment.

In 2024, she worked as an assistant on the Broadway production of The Outsiders, which was produced by her mother, Angelina Jolie.

Angelina has previously spoken about Vivienne’s thoughtful and serious approach to creative work. She has also described her daughter as someone who is particularly interested in helping other creatives rather than putting herself at the center of attention.

That description seems to fit the scene photographed in Los Angeles.

There was no movie premiere.

No red carpet.

No Hollywood backdrop.

Instead, there was simply an 18-year-old artist standing behind a table filled with things she had made, speaking to customers and selling her work.

Angelina has also recently discussed watching her children become increasingly independent as they move into adulthood.

In an interview with L’Officiel, she explained that her approach to parenting involves supporting her children while also trying not to interfere with the lives they are building for themselves.

“They’re definitely individuals,” Angelina said. “That makes me very proud, because one of the most important things, I think, is to basically not get in their way.”

She continued, “As a parent, you try to do many things, but you also try to not get in the way of this human being who has a life separate from yours and so much potential in their own mind. You want to make sure that you support them.”

That philosophy appears particularly relevant as all six of Angelina’s children continue growing older and developing interests, careers and identities of their own.

For Vivienne, that identity may be taking shape through art.

Fans React to Vivienne’s Quiet Creative Day

The photographs from the street fair quickly attracted attention from people who appreciated seeing a child of two major Hollywood stars doing something so ordinary, personal and creative.

One commenter wrote, “It is warming my heart how many young people are getting into making and selling their own art and crafts. In a world filled with tech, the creatives are gonna be ok.”

Another praised Angelina’s parenting, writing, “Angelina Jolie raised them well. Good job!”

A third commenter added, “Good upbringing. They are the down-to-earth children of celebrities.. better for them to be that humble and simple just like their beautiful mom.”

Another person focused on Vivienne’s outfit, writing, “Nice to see teens rocking the overalls with one strap dangling again lol.”

The reactions also touched on a much broader discussion that often follows celebrity children when they begin pursuing creative projects or careers of their own.

How much opportunity comes from being born into a famous family?

And how much comes from what those children ultimately decide to do with the opportunities available to them?

In Vivienne’s case, the September 19 outing offered something very tangible.

She was not simply appearing at an event because of her parents.

She was standing behind a table, speaking with customers and selling artwork she had created herself.

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, her father was involved in an entirely different kind of event.

Brad Pitt Was Thousands of Miles Away in Spain

While Vivienne and Knox were spending the day at the Los Angeles street fair, Brad Pitt was on the other side of the Atlantic.

The actor was in Spain for the 74th San Sebastian International Film Festival, where he appeared alongside Heart of the Beast director David Ayer for a press conference.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pitt discussed the changing film industry, the opportunities created by streaming and the challenges facing mid-budget movies.

He also spoke about relationships and loyalty while discussing his character’s bond with his dog in Heart of the Beast.

During the event, Pitt was asked about dealing with a world increasingly marked by conflict and division.

“I think we could spend more time on where we are the same… What binds us, what connects us, and I think we can listen better through these divisional lines,” he said.

His appearance in Spain provided a striking contrast with what was happening thousands of miles away in Los Angeles.

While Brad Pitt was discussing the film industry and his latest movie, his daughter was spending her day selling her own artwork at a local street fair.

And perhaps that contrast is what makes the photographs of Vivienne particularly interesting.

A Different Kind of Spotlight for Vivienne

For someone whose family name has been internationally recognized since before she was born, Vivienne’s choice to present her artwork under the name The Tulip Fields offers a glimpse of a creative identity that she appears to be building for herself.

The day was not about Hollywood.

It was about art.

It was about meeting customers, displaying her drawings and paintings, selling prints and cards, and experiencing the simple process of putting something she created into the hands of someone else.

And she had her twin brother Knox there to help.

The photographs may have initially drawn attention because of the famous names attached to Vivienne’s family, but the scene itself was remarkably ordinary.

An 18-year-old artist behind a table.

Her own artwork spread out in front of her.

Customers stopping to browse.

Her brother helping behind the scenes.

And a creative name that allowed the work to stand on its own.

For Vivienne Jolie, the September 19 street-fair appearance offered a small but revealing look at a life increasingly separate from the Hollywood spotlight surrounding her parents.

Whatever direction her creative interests eventually take, The Tulip Fields appears to be giving her a space to explore that identity on her own terms.
