My wife and I have 6 kids so we needed a vehicle that would fit us all on our adventures. The Excursion provides plenty of space and is surprisingly capable off-road. Plenty of power and low end torque as well as more than enough payload to carry some extra equipment.
The solid front axle, mileage and reliability from the 7.3 diesel, huge fuel tank, and spacious interior makes it one of the best adventure vehicles out there in my opinion.
