Dad had one when I was a kid. Now I got a chance to build it just like I remember his. Gonna need some work. Buy it'll work itself out. Any expertise, tricks of the trade and things I should know, feel free to drop a line.

It will be nice when done Im sure. I do question the grille and headlights as they are 79. most 78 had the grille but round headlights all 79 had rectangular headlights. It appears you put on a newer grille assy. or perhaps whomever you acquired it from. I would friendly suggest you get the correct grille assy for your model year 73-77 assy is same but the plastic insert are different. I believe the 73 to 75 inserts are same and the 76-77 are different. then of course the 78-79. In 1980 started the Bull Nose body style. 78-79 was a pre-curser to the 80-86 generation.

I've got a built 390 ready to go in my 75 highboy need to swapped body parts on it first so it's a process. going to keep the divorced transfer and running gear to keep it original. mine came with a 360 but has a 300-6 in it right now so a 390 is not far off of original in my book as 360 and 390 are same block just different stroke.

check out my 79 F150. I ve a few pics posted in here.
