For the daughter of two of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars, Vivienne Jolie has found a remarkably quiet way to put her creativity on display.
Instead of a red carpet, movie premiere or glamorous Hollywood event, the 18-year-old spent September 19 behind a small street-fair table in Los Angeles, surrounded by artwork she had created herself.
Vivienne, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, was photographed selling her original drawings and paintings at a local street fair. Rather than placing her famous family name at the center of the project, she appeared under the creative name The Tulip Fields.
The setting was decidedly low-key. Her table was filled with prints, stickers and birthday cards featuring her own artwork, giving visitors the opportunity to purchase something created by the young artist herself.
And while Vivienne was the main attraction at her table, the photographs also captured someone else who appeared to be there to support her.
Vivienne Brings Her Artwork to the Streets of Los Angeles
According to photos from the event, Vivienne had a wide selection of her work available for visitors. Some pieces were priced between $10 and $25, allowing people to purchase her creations without the kind of enormous price tag that might typically be associated with the work of someone from one of Hollywood’s most famous families.
The artwork itself was playful and distinctive.
According to the Daily Mail, one of the cards featured a gray mouse holding a large pink heart decorated with a pink bow. Another piece showed an octopus surrounded by fish.
One particularly eye-catching creation appeared to depict E.T. wearing a pink tutu and ballerina slippers, complete with ballet shoes.
Birthday cards were also included among the selection, making the table feel less like a celebrity appearance and more like a small, personal art shop created by a young artist eager to share her work.
Vivienne appeared to settle naturally into the role.
She spoke with customers, interacted with visitors and sold several of her pieces during the event.
Her outfit matched the relaxed atmosphere.
She wore a simple black T-shirt with blue overalls, while her dark brown hair was pulled back with clips.
There was no obvious attempt to transform the event into a Hollywood spectacle.
No red carpet.
No flashing cameras surrounding her.
No elaborate celebrity presentation.
Instead, Vivienne appeared focused on the artwork in front of her, the people stopping by her table and the experience of selling something she had personally created.
Then the photographs revealed that she was not completely on her own.
