Old Blue 1974 Ford F100 Explorer

Tom Hays says: This is my 1974 F100 Explorer that my grandfather purchased new in October, 1974. I rebuilt Old Blue in 2009. Original 302, auto, PS, PB and A/c PawPaw bought Blue new in October, 1974 at Decatur County Ford in Parsons, TN. He was used daily on the farm as well as my grandparents daily driver to town. I inherited Old Blue in 2008. The floors rusted out, some body damage, needing a lot of work. Spent the next two years rebuilding him from the ground up. One of the hardest parts was getting the paint color correct. Midnight Blue Metallic with Wimbledon White top and Explorer Stripes. Original 302, modified slightly with Edelbrock intake, Holley 600 cfm carb, headers, Flowmaster mufflers and true duals. Interior was restored with navy and white leather Seat and a period correct JVC cassette player as well as a Cobra CB radio Today he is only used for car shows, pleasure runs and parades around Jefferson Georgia where i live.
