My dad bought it in 97 with the intentions of restoring it. He had a car accident in 98 that lead to a traumatic brain injury. He was unable to work on the car. He passed away in 2014 with nothing left in his name but the car he saved for me. I had just turned 21. I’ve had the car almost 5 years now. Almost had a tree growing through it. Floors and torque boxes were shot, I’ve done a complete restore all new sheet metal, interior, roller 5.0, t5 trans, ford 9”, all new suspension etc. the paint on the car was ok but there was lots of body rust and holes but I drove it about a year and enjoyed it that way anyway. I hit a deer in late 2018 and I’ve finally put the car down for proper paint and body. It’s been down almost 9 months now getting straightened out the right way. I’ll have it back and done in time for the rod run in April in Tennessee. Me and this car have had quite a journey but it’s far from over and I’ll never get rid of it. The only piece I have left of my dad!
